Coming from Porto city center
Take the A20/IC23 motorway (Pte Freixo/A1 Lisboa) and then the A3 Braga/A4 Vila Real exit. After 3.1 km, exit onto the A4 (Matosinhos/Aeroporto) and continue for 5.6 km to the VRI (Aeroporto/Leixoes) exit. Follow signs to Aeroporto and at the end of VRI to the arrivals of Aeroporto.
At the arrivals drive to the end of the street on the right and reach the roundabout, take the 2nd exit and the SIXT branch is on your right.
Coming from Braga
Exit the city at the motorway A3/A11/N14 Porto/Valença/Guimarães/Barcelos/N101, follow the A11 2.2 km to the exit A3 Porto/Famalicão and continue 33 km. When you arrive the tolls in Porto keep right until you reach the A41 CREP (Maia/Aeroporto), follow it for 8.8 km and take the exit VRI Aeroporto, in the end of VRI follow to the arrivals of Aeroporto.
At the arrivals drive to the end of the street on the right and reach the roundabout, take the 2nd exit and the SIXT branch is on your right.
Coming from Vila Real
Please leave the city with IP4 Porto/Amarante, continue 7.5 km and take the exit A4 Porto. Follow the highway 79.6 km to the exit VRI Aeroporto in the end of VRI follow to the arrivals of Aeroporto.
At the arrivals drive to the end of the street on the right and reach the roundabout, take the 2nd exit and the SIXT branch is on your right.
By Metro
Red Line - (Povoa do Varzim-Estádio Dragão): When you go in the metro at any station of the red line, you have to transfer to Purple line (Estadio Dragão-Aeroporto) at the station Sra. Da Hora.
When arrive in the terminal of the airport, please keep right after leaving the arrival building and follow the street for appr. 100m. The SIXT branch is located at the roundabout near the exit of Porto Airport.

I rented a car for a week of holidays around Porto with Sixt. First it is really more advantageous to go through this agency rather than the one within the airport and it is a 5min walk from the airport, very easy to do you should not be afraid. Then I refused the insurances offered and did not feel at any moment the people here would try to charge me for something more that I didn’t need. The check out process was simple. I would recommend this agency that seems to be pretty fair.
